After Crimea joined RF, some politicians announced that the same could happen with NKR. Political scientist Hmayak Hovhannisyan announced that NKR has legal rights for joining Russia. Former Minister of Defense Norat Ter-Grigoryan is also of that opinion.
Araratnews.am had an interview with Artsakh hero Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan concerning this issue. He believes that it is senseless to think that NKR should join Russia:
“We fought for NKR to not let it join another country. NKR did not even join Armenia, it took a path of Independence. So, I consider these talks nonsense”, said Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan.
