Turkey is awaiting a faster EU accession process, said Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
After a three year halt, Turkey began on Tuesday its 22nd round of EU accession negotiations called Chapter 22 on regional policy and coordination of structural Instruments.
Erdogan, before leaving for Finland, told a press conference in Ankara that “We have initiatives for the chapters which have been opened and not closed yet.”
“We hope these unclosed chapters will be closed soon,”” he said.
Erdogan following his visit to Finland will proceed to Sweden, then to Poland. Turkish economy minister, and energy minister, and forestry and water affairs minister will accompany Erdogan.
