Paul McCartney has said that he’s stopped writing new songs because he has so many still to finish work on.
McCartney claims that he amassed so many half-finished songs working on his latest album ‘New’ that he wants to finish them all off before he starts working on new material. ‘New’, which was beaten to the Number One spot on the UK Official Albums Charts this weekend by John Newman, was released on October 14. Speaking to the Daily Star, McCartney said: “I’m resisting writing any more songs as I’ve got so many. I got everything off my chest with ‘New’, and next I need to go through my pile of demo ideas. It’ll be like cleaning out my attic – I know I should do it even though I don’t really want to.”
