We present above the open letter-request:
“ We, the 220 students of Yerevan State Medical University are facing a serious situation today, which has fatal meaning for all of us.
The problem is that the time we were provided to take all the exams was not enough to take 5-6 of the hardest exams. As a result, the majority of students have piled up debts of exams, for which they has 2 possibilities.
In order to use those two possibilities, students who were to take the exams tried hard to pass them, however, the time intervals were also too limited, and on the other hand we found it hard to understand why most of the questions of exam tickets were changed into harder ones.
While international experience shows that each round of exams are made easier to overcome the debt. Last year we faces the same kind of problem. After a plea of hundreds of students, the ministry of Education and Science gave another chance to close all debts with more than one entrance.
Basically, from that day on no essential changes have been made to prevent this situation from repeating, however, responsible bodies both in the University and the ministry remain silent. We accept the fact that we, as students, had our faults, but we are ready to take measures to not face such problems from now on, as our further actions depend on the solution of this problem.
Hence, we request all responsible bodies, in face of the Ministry of Education and Science to follow up the solution of this issue and give us another chance to close our debts.
Thank you in advance.
