On November 28, 2013, after Dubai-Yerevan flight passengers had passed through customs control, the employees of Fight against Smuggling and Double Customs Control Department of the RA SRC detained Artur Avetisyan and Armen Avetisyan (brothers) — citizens of the RA and passengers of the flight — at the parking lot near Zvartnots Aiport’s administrative building and examined their baggage and clothes. As a result, 52 mobile phones of iPhone and Sony Xperia models and 6 gaming computers of Sony PlayStation model were revealed, which had been transported through the RA customs border and exported under the red line of Zvartnots Airport’s customs control zone without declaration at the permit of customs officers Robert Gyozhgyan, Artur Babayab, Sargis Danielyan and Babken Levonyan.
The criminal case initiated over the facts was sent to the Special Investigation Service of the RA.
