A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: “Michael’s asked Catherine to give things another try and she’s agreed. It’s not just for the sake of the children.
“When they’re good they’re amazing together, so they’re hammering out their issues at their home. It’s good news and Catherine is on top of the world.”
Michael and Catherine — who began dating in March 1999 — have reportedly been separated for four months, but only confirmed their split two months ago after admitting they were “taking time apart to evaluate their marriage” in a bid to hopefully save their relationship.
The Oscar-winning actor — who hasn’t been pictured with the welsh beauty since April — recently thanked his wife during his moving acceptance speech at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles as well as giving his eldest son Cameron — who is currently serving time in prison for drug offences — a special shout out.
He said at the event last month: “I want to thank my wife Catherine for her support, my kids Dylan and Carys, and a shout out for my oldest son Cameron and hoping that they’ll allow me to see him soon.”
