Mel Gibson’s battery conviction after hitting ex Oksana Grigorieva allegedly will be erased from his record.
The actor will appear in a Los Angeles courtroom later this month to petition for the no contest please to be expunged from his record, reports RadarOnline.
The 58-year-old was charged with battery in 2010 for hitting then-girlfriend Grigorieva, and even confessed to the beating in court documents, stating, ‘I slapped Oksana one time with an open hand in an attempt to bring her back to reality.’
According to Radar, Gobson’s legal team are arguing the star has completed all the requirements the judge asked of him following his March 2011 plea, which included three years probation and 16 hours community service, as well as maintaining the peace with Grigorieva, who is is the mother of his four-year-old daughter Lucia.
Meanwhile, Gibson is reported to be considering another legal battle with his ex.
The Oscar winner is alleged to be seeking more custody of their daughter that he shares with the Grigorieva, whom he pays $20,000 a month in child support.
