As a co-chair country of the OSCE Minsk Group, France will continue listening to all parties to the Karabakh conflict, President of France Emmanuel Macron said at the annual banquet of the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF).
In his speech, Macron touched upon a number of issues of concern to the Armenian community, including the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
CCAF co-chairs Ara Toranian and Murad Papazian invited the French President to visit Nagorno-Karabakh, to which Macron responded: “As for Karabakh, France is a supportive of a compromise, since the status quo is not a solution to the problem. I hope that one day I will return to you and say that the Karabakh conflict is settled.”
