“To be honest, it is all the same what kind of documents will be signed at Vilnius session, as it will have absolutely no influence on the process. Globally thinking, Vilnius session is just another scene of relations between Russia-EU-post Soviet countries and signature of a document, saying ‘Long live all that is good and let all that is bad disappear’, will not change anything.
And the process is the following: security systems are the ones to move forward during the entire process of EU enlargement. Eastern Partnership program was amputated and defective, which had been offered us with pleasure and we have accepted it with more pleasure and started negotiating. Russia was not doing anything against it, however after the second term of Putin, Russia’s attitude changed somehow.
Putin came with neo-imperialistic ambitions and the result was the announcement of September 3rd”, said the expert of Political and International research centre Ruben Mehrabyan during press conference.
Talking about Putin’s upcoming visit to Armenia, he noted that the date has been symbolically chosen for humiliating Armenia and Armenians.
“The impression is as if Putin is not coming to Armenia as much as he is coming to check the military base and will also meet with the aborigines living there”, said Mehrabyan.
