Andres Iniesta has reportedly agreed a five-year extension to his Barcelona contract, to see him become the second highest paid player at the club.
The midfielder has been in talks with the Catalans over a new deal since the summer, but was widely reported to have turned down an initial offer, apparently based on financial terms put forward.
On from the club’s continued message that negotiations have remained on track, and the player’s insistence that he wants to retire at the Camp Nou, reports today are that an agreement may have been reached.

The contract apparently agreed has the player in line to become the club’s second top earner behind only Lionel Messi, to pull in a wage of between €10m and €11m per season.
