The amount of gunshots from Azerbaijani side has risen recently. The target is Tavoush region, its main roads and houses, which makes the usage of the roads hard and distorts the normal life.
Gunshots are not new in the constant tensed situation and are not typical in just Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. Such cases happen in the borders of countries like Israel and Palestine, Syria and Turkey and even USA and Mexico.
These countries have different approaches towards this fact. Some of them neutralize the danger through air attack; others isolate themselves by building a dam. For example, a huge wall has been built between the border of USA and Mexico, so immigrants would not have a chance to cross it. Israel is building a wall to detach itself from several parts of Palestine.
Few days ago, village mayor of Voskepar told “Liberty” Radio that a wall should be built in some border areas to protect buildings and roads. This is a productive way, as there are no positive changes in Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the normal life of villagers must be protected.
The walls in both Israel and USA are made of concrete. But we cannot afford such “venture”.
There is a technology used in the West, which is quiet possible to have. They build a wall with basalt and Armenia has a huge amount of it. We just need to have special nets to put the basalt in.
This can be a profitable business for our entrepreneurs. This method will allow us to build the walls quicker and cheaper.
