Mother and brother of Armenian captive Hakob Injighulyan have met with Armenian Catholicos today. They were trying to find out whether His Holiness has received Pashazadeh’s letter addressed to him and what did Pashazadeh him tell about his meeting with Hakob.
Talking to reporter of Araratnews.am, Hakob’s brother Harutyun Injighulyan noted that the Catholicos had asked one of the deacons to check if there’s any letter addressed to him.
The deacon had informed that there are no official letters.
‘But after few minutes His Holiness remembered and said that the letter is in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as such letters are being sent through the third circle’, said Harutyun.
Talking about the main issue of the meeting, Harutyun noted that his mother and himself have asked His Holiness to help Hakob, to which the catholicos had responded:
‘We, considering his status, have asked to give a partly solution to the issue, but he had told us that he cannot interfere in the issue as Azerbaijan is not a country which will take into consideration its religious leader or any other holiness, however, the fact that Pashazadeh had a meeting with Hakob is already an important step forward’.
