International media have turned to the events that took place yesterday. It is not a secret that media writings make a part of state and regional policy. So, it can be stated that our current events interested the West.
We can also state that whatever happens in Armenia is not only Armenia’s inner policy but the continuation of all processes taking place in post-Soviet countries. So all events taking place in Ukraine or Russia must be observed as one complete action. First of all, events taking place in Ukraine have seemingly lessened the irrefutable legend of the effect Russia had on Armenia. On the other hand, battle for self-determination in Armenia can effect on the battle of Ukrainian people.
In some cases Armenia and Ukraine can become the trade subject between West and Russia.
Surely, we can state that for West, and specifically Europe depriving Ukraine will be the most desired, however, in relations with Iran, on the background of breaking the ice, Southern Caucasus plays an immense role as well. Armenia is considered to be the greatest obstacle for development of Southern Caucasus with unconditional devotion.
Ukraine’s rejection from Russia and latter’s weakening in South Caucasus will be within interests of Armenia. In this case, Armenia will not be forced to join east or west and will be able to run stabile policy gaining both economic and political benefits, meanwhile will higher its political value.
Hence, Liberal powers must come together and continue what have started yesterday, adding in agenda resignation of president and Prime Minister, including refusal of joining Custom’s Union.
Yesterday’s events have shown that despite all concerns of political scientists and analysts , these two issues join and make one whole.
