“I join” Facebook initiation has made a statement:
On February 19, RA prosecution made a statement concerning promises the General Prosecutor had made in Gyumri.
The statement does not contain guarantees of keeping demands of RA citizens, which is handing V. Permyakov to RA law enforcement.
A month has passed till the General Prosecutor had made a promise, but nothing has changed ever since. By hiding behind that statement and ignoring nation’s demand, he’s not willing to give explanations to society, which is a proof of inactivity of the system he’s heading.
We condemn prosecutor’s enclosed, non-public and non-transparent activity in case of such crime committed against the Armenian nation, as well as non-commitment of RA Article 5 of Prosecution law.
Such working manner denies the most important principles of democracy, which will have negative impact on the prosecution work, open relations of the statehood and the society, as well as the rating of the Republic of Armenia.
We demand from the RA Prosecution:
- Work transparently and make the letter from Russia public.
- Give guarantees that the suspect will be handed over to RA law enforcement.
- Give guarantees that the suspect or suspects will be punished according to RA law.
In case of ignoring these three demands RA citizens will demand resignation of RA General Prosecutor for violating principles of democracy, reducing state reputation and inactivity.
