According to data provided by the National Statistics Service of Armenia, 280.1 thousand tons of copper concentrate have been produced in Armenia in January-August of 2017, exceeding the results of the previous year by 8.8%.
For the indicated period, increase has been reported in production levels of zinc by 21.6%, amounting to 6 341.0 tones and molybdenum concentrates by 5.8%, comprising 7 453.0 tones.
Compared with data of 2016, production levels of ferromolybdenum have increased by 9.5%, comprising 21 831.0 tones.
According to NSS, 55% increase has been recorded also in the production volumes of steel pipes during January – August 2017, reaching 6 727.0 tones, while aluminum foil production increased by 149.3 times, totaling about 448 tones.
