A printing house affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Christian Church courted controversy with a monthly calendar featuring pictures of Josef Stalin.
The Patriarch Publishing Center of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius monastery in Sergiyev Posad, which was set up with the endorsement of the church, is printing a monthly calendar for $6 featuring pictures of the Soviet dictator along with biographical facts, RIA Novosti reported Wednesday.
RIA Novosti said the Russian Orthodox Church had yet to comment on the matter Wednesday, UPI informs.
