Douglas Kirkland has enjoyed a prolific 60-year career as one of the world’s top photographers, famous for his timeless portraits of stars including Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.
Now, a collection of the 80-year-old Toronto native’s most famous images are going on display at the Venice Biennale in Italy, in collaboration with Vanity Fair and l’Istituto Luce Cinecittà.
The exhibition features many of his most memorable portraits — including the 1961 Marilyn Monroe shoot he did for the 25th anniversary of Look magazine.
