A memorable farewell ceremony for the late Charles Aznavour was held Friday at Les Invalides in Paris.
The legendary French Armenian singer’s coffin—covered with the French national flag, and a wreath with the colors of the Armenian tricolor flag next to it—was placed at the courtyard of these historical set of buildings.
And after the addresses by French President Emmanuel Macron and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a Frenchman sang an Armenian song, accompanied by the military orchestra.
Aznavour’s funeral will take place on Saturday.
Charles Aznavour passed away Monday aged 94, in his house in southern France, and of natural causes.
