The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan has launched criminal proceedings and a respective investigation against several companies from Switzerland, Bulgaria, Uruguay, Argentina, Romania, and some other countries, and which cooperate with the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic/NKR).
These “unfriendly” companies include Haik Watch and Jewelry Co., Rodina-Haskovo JSC, Centro Ceibal, Deccan Gold Mines Ltd., and Cosmote Romanian Mobile Telecommunications S.A., Haqqin.az news agency of Azerbaijan reported citing the press service of the prosecutor general’s office.
The representatives of these companies are accused of illegally crossing the Azerbaijani border, plundering the riches and useful minerals, causing large amount of damage, gaining illegal profit, and carrying out activities aimed at the “strengthening of occupation and violation of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.”
