We want to open the investment field not only for Diaspora Armenians; Of course, we are interested in their engagement, but the rules of the game will be the same for Diaspora Armenians, Chinese and others.
Armenian Premier Karen Karapetyan said the aforementioned Saturday in an interview with the representatives of a number of Armenian TV companies, responding to the question on the state’s guarantees in regard to investments.
“For an investor to feel protected, we will ensure mutual communication on behalf of our Ministry of Economic Development and Investments. When facing an obstacle, any businessman or mediator can apply to that Ministry, which will try to understand their problem,” the PM said.
He also noted that the issue of decriminalizing business has been recorded, adding that in case of exceeding powers they will by all means turn to law enforcement authorities. “This is a working mechanism, yes. And, yes, we will be consistent. We’ll see whether this yields results,”Karapetyan said.
The Premier said he wants the country to be more just, developed, richer and more secure. “If I can be useful in this issue, I am ready to contribute through my capacities till the end. Once I feel I can no longer be useful, I won’t stay [in my post] for another day. Do I see power and wish in myself right now? Yes. Let alone my drive.”
