Armenian PM Hovik Abarahamyan received Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Armenia Jassim Mohammed Mubarak Al Qasimi Wednesday.
Abrahamyan attached importance to the further development of political, economic and other spheres, stressing that there is a great potential for this. According to him, the Armenian government is ready to discuss and support implementation of every program aimed at the deepening and enhancement of bilateral economic ties.
Ambassador Qasimi thanked Hovik Abrahamyan for backing the deepening of ties between the two countries, expressing satisfaction with the recent developments taking place between Armenia and UAE in different spheres.
Mr Qasimi noted that during the last year the volumes of bilateral commercial turnover have grown, investments having been made in the spheres of Armenian agriculture and tourism. In his words, the UAE investors are interested in making investments in a number of spheres, including real estate. Currently, a number of UAE businessmen are planning to visit Armenia, the Ambassador added.
According to him, the number of tourists travelling from UAE to Armenia has significantly grown. Among them are also those who visit Armenia for medical treatment.
The interlocutors expressed conviction that the effective cooperation between the governments of Armenia and UAE will contribute to the further expansion of bilateral economic ties.
By the end of the meeting, Ambassador Qasimi handed the Armenian PM the invitation of UAE PM Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take part in Dubai International Exhibition.
