“There is a favorable situation for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said at the joint press conference with Sergey Lavrov in Russia’s capital, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.
Davutoglu said that he arrived in Moscow from Baku: “We have today discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus with Mr. Sergey Lavrov. Turkey supports the settlement of frozen conflicts in the region. This region is close both to Turkey and Russia. Frozen conflicts pose a threat to regional countries. We hope that Russia will contribute to resolving Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh and spare no effort for the resolution of other “frozen” conflicts in the region. Ukraine events show the importance of a speedy resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We consider that there is a favorable situation for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. We must take concrete steps to resolve this conflict”.
