“France’s investments in the Turkish nuclear power plant will affect its stance on the so-called Armenian genocide”, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz was quoted as saying by TRT Haber TV channel November 19.
The minister said that the French authorities are well aware that the ‘Armenian genocide’ issue for Turkey is a “line that can not be crossed.”
He also stressed that Turkey hopes that France’s political interests will coincide with its economic interests.
Earlier, it was reported that Turkish and Japanese Prime Ministers signed an agreement on launching the negotiations on the implementation of the nuclear power plant construction project in Sinop city.
The agreement was signed following the negotiations held between Shinzo Abe and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
