On the 100th centinnal the ‘tsunam’i, from which Turkey was afraid of, took place. The mess and its consequences given by Pope contributed to that and it is still going on. Today Kiro Manoyan, the head of Armenian National Committee and the office of political issues, said about this during his meeting with journalists. ”Turkey overthrew even its initiative to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Galipoli battle., which had a unique goal- to throw Armenian Genocide’s events into background,” said Mr. Manoyan and added that Turkey with its own initiative rose special interest towards Armenian Genocide’s events. According to Kiro Manoyan, the mess in Turkey will continue also in the future. ”The fact that on the 24th of April historians, Specialists on Genocide issues, delegatiosn from differnet countries as well as presidents of countries will be in Armenia, will continue this tsunami, which already exists in Turkey.
To the question what developments are expected after 24th of april and which will be the deedsof Armenian side, the head of Armenian National Committee and the office of Poitical issues , said : On the 25th of April we will continue doing what we have been doing till 24th, said Mr. Manoyan and continued. ‘’ Our efforts should be focused on the points which are included in Panarmenian Declaration, the issues related to renumeration should be proceedable.”
Referring to the question whether it is possible that Turley will decontract its relations with Vatican, Kiro Manoyan reminded that Turkey, every time seeing an admission of a document condemning genocide, reacts in this way, as it happened after Pope’s mess. « I don’t think Turkey will decontract its relations with any country, after the first-second months’ counteraction , everything will be changed», said Kiro Manukyan andreminded the example of France, when the latter admitted the genocide.

To our quest how much the content of European Parlament’s resolution is beneficial for our interests, Kiro Manoyan mentioned that there are some points which would better not exist. The positive estimation of Erdogan’s and Davitoglu’s letters, which weren’t that of positive or highlighting the importance of Armenia-Turley protocols in 2009, I think is belated; years have passed and today everything is worse.

Regarding these protocols there are similar expectations both from Armenia and Turkey which are to establish diplomatic relations, to eliminate surroundings,as if Armenia has affirmed being blocked by itself, said Kiro manoyan considering the above-mentioned as unwarranted points of EP’s resolution. And, in total, the resolution is much better than the one adopted in 1987.<<This is not an Armenian Resolution , but the EP which has undergone many changes since those times and these changes are not necessarily for Armenians. One of the most positive ones is the call-on to Turkey to face its own history , to adopt the fact of genocide and in this way to set up the process of Armenian and Turish peoples’ reconciliation, — concluded the head of Armenian National Committee and the office of Poitical issues Kiro Manoyan.
