Now that’s forgiveness! Johnny Depp’s ex Vanessa is one of his wedding guests

You could be forgiven for thinking there’s no love lost between Johnny Depp’s new fiancee Amber Heard – who at 27 is half his age and one of the most beautiful young actresses in Hollywood – and Vanessa Paradis, 41, who dated Johnny for 14 years.

But I can reveal that Amber likes Vanessa so much that she has invited her to her wedding to the Hollywood star.

‘Since Amber has been dating Johnny, she has been very kind and respectful towards Vanessa and the situation between them all is very amicable,’ says a friend of Amber, who often looks after Vanessa and Johnny’s two children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11.

‘Vanessa likes Amber a lot, and appreciates how good she is with the children. It’s likely Lily-Rose will be bridesmaid, and they would like Vanessa to be part of the day.

The split was mutual, with no broken hearts, and they remain friends. While Vanessa hasn’t officially RSVP’d yet, she is considering it.’

Amber and Johnny, 50, first met making 2011’s The Rum Diary but didn’t get together until 2012 after the breakdown of his relationship with Vanessa.

It was recently confirmed that Johnny Depp is engaged to his actress girlfriend Amber Heard. Some found the news hard to believe; Johnny and Amber have been dating for less than two years, and Johnny never popped the question to Vanessa Paradis, his partner of 14 years and the mother of his two children.

So why has the 50-year-old star decided to walk down the aisle with his Rum Diary co-star, 27?

Speaking to Extra in 2010, Johnny explained why he hadn’t wed French beauty Vanessa, with who he has two children, Lily-Rose, 14, and 11-year-old Jack.

“I never found myself needing that piece of paper,” he said. “Marriage is really from soul to soul, heart to heart. You don’t need somebody to say, okay you’re married.”

The Pirates of the Caribbean star certainly wasn’t opposed to the idea of marriage, however.

“If Vanessa wanted to get hitched, why not,” he said. “But the thing is, I’d be so scared of ruining her last name! She’s got such a good last name.”

Johnny has been married once before, to Lori Anne Allison from 1983 to 985. He has previously been engaged to actresses Jennifer Grey, Sherilyn Fenn and Winona Ryder and had a high-profile four-year romance with Kate Moss.

Johnny and Vanessa announced their shock split in June 2012, after 14 years together. A year later, the Lone Ranger star broke his silence.

Johnny Depp: Bleached Blonde Hair at BFI Film Fest Awards!

Johnny Depp shows off his new bleached blonde hair while attending the 2013 BFI London Film Festival Awards on Saturday (October 19) at the Banqueting House in London, England.

The 50-year-old actor was in attendance as a surprise guest to present Christopher Lee with the BFI Fellowship honor.

“It’s my great honor to be here,” Johnny said on stage (via THR). He also called Christopher a “great man, a very great man indeed” and said “it was certainly a childhood dream come true” to work with him.

Johnny and Christopher appeared together in the films Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Sleepy Hollow, and Dark Shadows.
