While her husband played ‘daddy daycare’ at home in Kensington Palace this morning, the Duchess of Cambridge undertook her first solo public engagement since the birth of their baby son Prince George, Daily Mail informs.
Kate, 31, left her three-month-old son with her husband to attend an event at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London in her role as patron of the charity SportsAid.
And she didn’t let a pair of towering wedges put her off getting involved as she agreed to try her hand at a little volleyball.
Despite sporting a pair of Russell and Bromley blue heels and skinny ‘jeggings’ she managed a few quite passable shots and at one point she leapt up to score a ‘spike’, showing a surprising level of athleticism in her five inch heels.
Looking trim, the Duchess was also dressed in a Ralph Lauren stripped Breton-style top with a blue jacket and Russell and Bromley wedges.
