Ronaldo is joining forces with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.

The Brazilian soccer superstar, who retired in 2011 after a legendary career, now owns a 25 percent stake in the 2014 NASL runner-up, Strikers officials told the Sun Sentinel on Wednesday.

Ronaldo will be the most visible of an ownership group that includes three fellow Brazilian investors, Ricardo Geromel, Paulo Cesso and Rafael Bertani, who took over the Strikers in September.

Ronaldo playing career includes two World Cup titles and includes 15 goals in four World Cup appearances.

Ronaldo, a three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and widely considered one of the sports greatest strikers, adds the Strikers to his growing portfolio of sports-related investments. The 38-year-old also co-owns grand prix racing’s A1 Team Brazil and the sports marketing firm 9INE.

The Brazil-based agency, which Ronaldo co-owns with mixed martial artist Anderson Silva, recently signed tennis superstar Rafael Nadal, UFC champion Junior Cigano and Everton Ribeiro, a midfielder for Cruzeiro, a club Ronaldo himself played for in 1993-94.
