The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has elected Pedro Argamunt of Spain as its new president.
The politician, who is known for his pro-Azerbaijani views, was nominated by the European People’s Party. No other candidacies were fielded, pravda.com.ua reports.
The voting was not a formal procedure, as none of the members of the Assembly opposed to his candidacy.
