Frontline military units of Nagorno-Karabakh’s Defense Army repelled Azerbaijani troops from the Line of Contact on Tuesday night after the latter attempted to infiltrate through the country’s south-eastern border.
The Defense Army did not suffer losses in the skirmishes, but there are losses by the Azerbaijani side.
According to an official statement by Nagorno-Karabakh’s Ministry of Defense, the adversary shot the Armenian defense positions 12,000 times overnight, releasing fire from weapons of different calibers.
As part of their disinformation campaign, the Azerbaijani media said Tuesday that Armenian defense troops opened fire against shepherds in the direction of the village Chailu. The Defense Army’s press service later denied the report.
