To solve the migrant crisis, the EU should continue and even increase its focus on the implementation of agreement with Turkey, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, said Monday at a press-conference in Luxembourg after the meeting of the foreign ministers of EU member-states.
In her words, the main result of the meeting is the need for continuing and even increasing the focus on the implementation of agreement with Turkey.
Mogherini also noted that the issue has also been discussed with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi. She expressed hope that the relevant report will be discussed and approved on April 27.
The ministers of internal affairs of EU member-states will discuss the implementation of agreement with Turkey by end of this week, the High Representative added.
