Mitch Winehouse is releasing a new album to raise money for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the charity set up to honour his late daughter.
He said his daughter was involved with the new record — But Beautiful — with songs they had chosen together which did not make his 2011 debut album, released just before her death.
“This is still the album that Amy helped me make,” he said.
“There were so many more songs that we could have done and here they are.”
Amy Winehouse passed away at the age of 27 at her home in Camden, with an inquest confirming she died of accidental alcohol poisoning.
Mitch’s new album will be available from 29 September and is being released on his daughter’s label, Lioness Records.
He said performing helps him to feel closer to Amy.
“It’s just great to be able to get out and sing, it’s something I love to do,” said Mitch.
“I feel that when I’m on stage, Amy’s on stage. She wouldn’t let a little thing like not being here stop her from jumping on stage”, BBC informs.
