RA Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan visited the prison hospital yesterday to see the prominent actor Vardan Petrosyan. The minister announced about it yesterday at NA.
‘I must tell you all that the conditions at the hospital meet the necessary standards and he is taken good care of. I told him that his health is utmost important. Doctors of civil hospital and his own doctors will have a free entrance to him any time he needs them’.
Talking about using custody as a preventive measure, the minister noted that even press secretary of Serzh Sargsyan has mentioned that there are many gaps in procedural practice.
‘We have custody as a preventive measure, pledge and other means. But there are also other types, for instance home arrest, administrative control etc., but we do not have those in our law. All of these are defined in the Criminal Procedure Code and we will have changes upon them in future’, said the minister.
