Concentration of military equipment observed in Nakhijevan direction, yet the situation remains under control, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs Koryun Nahapetyan said at the briefing with reporters. According to the MP from the Republican faction that was among the topics discussed during the consultation behind the closed doors with the defense minister in the National Assembly.
“The leadership of the Defense Ministry, the General Staff controls the situation. Our troops are ready to withstand any assault,” Nayapetyan stressed at the same time highlighting the high combat capacities of the Armenian army.
Asked what is the adversary’s aim behind accumulating military hardware, Nahapetyan noted that Armenian side should be prepared for any development.
“Our intelligence implement military planning, those data are collected, analyzed and decisions rest upon that information,” Nahapetyan concluded.
