Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting took place yesterday in Vienna, at Hofburg palace. No matter how odd It sounds, but the negotiations were ‘normal’. That’s the answer Serzh Sargsyan gave to a reporter of ‘Freedom’ Radio.
In the history of Karabakh conflict resolution there are singular cases when the negotiations have passed ‘not normal’, for example in Key West and Rombauer. First was postponed for a week and the second was paused as one of the sides, Robert Qocharyan, had left the room and the negotiations stopped, otherwise it would have lasted a week.
Yesterday’s meeting was a serial one, after 2 years pause. After the meeting, OSCE MG released a statement welcoming the negotiations. So, till 2017, when Armenia enters another field of elections, NK negotiations will move forward more aggressively. 3-4 times meetings of MFAs will be organized and 1-2 times ones of presidents.
