Speech of RA President, President of the Republican Party, Serzh Sargsyan at council meeting

We have made a decision of holding a session on Monday, during executive body session. The entire session of council will be devoted to inter-political issues, their developments and future actions. I have to say that we’ve had a long discussion concerning those issues and all members of the executive body have expressed their ideas. On Monday I had asked for two-three days to analyze all the ideas expressed. I have presented those analyses today, during the executive body session and heard their opinions. This does not mean that they will not make speeches today.
Recent discussions have differed from the previous ones. The Republican party is a political institution and all political issues were in our obstacle, including all initiatives, announcements and speeches and we have treated them as political phenomena, hence we’ve discussed them and gave them political responses.
Over time, we noticed that whatever we did had meaning to some of political subjects. We realized that each political process, moreover, anything connected to logic, turns into comedy, when on the other side of the process there is an action void of logic and sense of reality.
We were about to discuss Gagik Tsarukyan’s speech during the meeting, as we do with all the speeches that are concerning us. Unfortunately, there was no reference to that speech. It may cause dilemma, while the explanation is very simple: what’s the purpose of discussing? What should we discuss, what’s been said or did he understand what he was reading?
And it lasted years. His team members spend every effort to explain him the difference between A and B. Some of them present their own agenda, thinking that he wouldn’t understand it anyway. Partner parties discuss days and nights whether he understood what he was doing or as usual. One doesn’t know whether to explain him first what role he has taken up or what he had announced and then give answers or say at once that “what’s that has to do with you?”
Political field is not Armwrestling Federation, other features are needed here. How long can we go on like this?
Dear colleagues,
Taking the situation into consideration, let’s stop and understand how we we turn the political field into a platform of political figures, how we clean politic from emptiness. It will be hard to overcome all challenges without that.
Of course, many people thought that today we will announce about the start of another phase of constitutional changes. But the reform concept is ready and is on my desk. You all know that. Nothing can stop me from signing the necessary document and start a new phase of cultivating constitutional plan. But I took a constructive decision and have suspended the process, announcing that constitutional reforms are not meaningless and wide political consolidation is significant for me. I have done that with Gagik Tsarukyan’s plea, which his servants called it a step back.
Constitutional reforms are not about ambitions of political figures, they are for our country, our safe and developing country. The new Constitution has to be for keeping the country away from shakes and strengthen and balance the state system and raise human rights of RA citizens. There are patriots in PAP, as well as educated and working people, who can cross a road and solve problems.
It is hard to talk about consolidation, when one signifies a political power, which is led by a man without logic. It is easier to talk about cleaning the political field, opening space for political figures to be able to make solutions and take political decisions.
Gagik Tsarukyan political figure has become a disaster for our country. And that’s natural. A person involved in political processes, but having low intellect becomes a trigger for development.
Ladies and Gentlemen, you all are my loyal team. We have crossed a long way together, but I know that you blame me in your minds for supporting and growing such political subject. The mistake must be corrected.
And now about the actions:
1. Today, Gagik Tsarukyan will be fired from National Security council. The supreme security body of the country is not a cinema.
2. During 2013-2014 Gagik Tsarukyan was present only in 4 RA NA sessions out of 145. If he ignores his electors that much then we are responsible for each citizen of our nation.
3. Unchecked news about unpaid taxes of millions of dollars have been in the air for years, as well as pensioners’ money, billions stolen from the youth, hidden under “charity” name. I call the Prime Minister to order corresponding bodies to investigate and present it all openly.
4. News about unchecked criminal cases also continue circling in the air. I will invite a National Security Council tomorrow and will discuss these issues with law enforcement.
I want to say in the end that my speech was about Gagik Tsarukyan, the political or false-political figure. As RA citizen and a businessman, I have no problem with him, if, of course, all issues connected to law are denied.
