A crash has occurred in Armenia’s energy system on Wednesday, with electricity shutdowns possible across the country, Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said on Facebook.
“At the moment we have an accident in the energy system. The Yerevan Thermal Power Plant and the Hrazdan TPP’s 5th energy block failed to operate. Power outage is possible across the republic,” the official said.
Avinyan added measures are being taken to resolve the problem till 7pm.
