A 4.8 magnitude earthquake jolted Turkish province Bolu, Anadolu agency reported on Nov.25.
According to data received from Bogazici University Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, the earthquake took place at 22:49 local time.
No casualties or damages are reported as a result of the earthquake.
Turkey is located in a seismically active area and earthquakes that often lead to loss of human life frequently occur.
The strongest fluctuations in the earth’s crust in Turkey were registered in 1999 in the Marmara Sea. At that time the magnitude of the tremors was 7.4 and caused the deaths of about 18,000 people, Trend informs.
