YEREVAN. – On Friday night and Saturday morning, the Azerbaijani side fired shots sixteen times at the Armenian position-holders in the northeastern sector (Tavush Province) of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
During this time the Azerbaijani army made use of rifle, including large-caliber, weaponry.
The Ministry of Defense of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that the frequency of violations, however, has reduced as compared to previous days, and that the Azerbaijani shooting was irregular.
Vanguard units of the Armenian armed forces confidently control the situation along the aforesaid border, and they took actions in response solely when absolutely necessary.
