Azerbaijan kept shooting Armenian defense positions along the Line Contact overnight, releasing gunfire 850 times from weapons of different calibers.
Nagorno-Karabakh’s Ministry of Defense says that the frontline military units of its Defense Army maintain a full control of the situation on the frontline to ensure an adequate defense.
“Rejecting the confidence-building measures proposed the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, Azerbaijan not only keeps escalating tension on the frontline but also disseminates disinformation, blaming the Armenian armed forces for opening fire against their civilians and saying that they ‘see a threat in the flock of sheep’,” reads an official press release issued Thursday morning.
“The press service of Nagorno-Karabakh’s Ministry of Defense affirms its respectful attitude to Azerbaijani civilians, who for twenty years been forced to shoulder the heavy burden of the Aliyev regime. As for the flock of sheep, this isn’t the first time the adversary makes such a comparison, reducing its soldiers’ to a flock. And there are available records on the internet,” says the statement.
