The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandian, on Wednesday met with the Minister of State for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Koh Poh Koon, who is visiting Armenia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that Nalbandian said Armenia underscores the development of cooperation with Singapore in a variety of domains. He expressed the hope that the Singaporean state minister’s visit to Armenia will give new impetus to the deepening of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Koon, for his part, presented the objectives of his visit to Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and the potential domains for collaboration.
From the viewpoint of the development of trade and economic cooperation, the interlocutors attached importance to design an appropriate legal framework.
Also, Edward Nalbandian and Koh Poh Koon exchanged views on the opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations between Singapore and the Eurasian Economic Union member countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan).
