One tends to think of Angelina Jolie existing on some sort of plane devoid of all human concerns, never having to worry about resetting a clock after Daylight Saving changes, replacing a light bulb, deleting spam e-mails . . . So it’s a bit weird to read a story about Angelina getting in trouble for missing a deadline related to paperwork, Vanity Fair informs.
But that’s what happened this month. The New York Post reveals that Angie will no longer be able to fly her “personal plane” as her team did not hand in the new registration in time. The renewal application for the $360,000 red-and-white jet came in at some point after the one in place expired at the end of June, and the F.A.A. notified Jolie at the beginning of September that she no longer had permission to fly. (We probably shouldn’t be shocked by this, since they were obviously just following their regular protocol and all of that, but the fact that no exception was made for Angelina Jolie seems pretty crazy, right??)
But ruling or no, the Post drops this intriguing paragraph toward the end of their story: “Despite this, flight records allegedly show the plane was flown in Montana in October. The documents don’t indicate who piloted it, but show it was flown without a valid certificate.”
