Vahagn Charkhchyan has raised issues concerning Georgian Armenians to Micheil Saakashvili. Charkhchyan is a Javakhi Armenian and a politician. He is the head of United Javakhq democratic union political movement. On 2009, April 7th, he had been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment by Georgian Court for protecting rights of Javakhi-Armenians. He has been released from prison in 2013, January 24th in the result of amnesty.
