Some of Britain’s wealthiest home owners have been unable to keep the floodwater from their doors in the area known as the celebrity riviera.
Multi-million-pound properties throughout the Thames Valley in Berkshire, which once stood overlooking the river, have been engulfed by its fast-flowing, murky waters.
Despite whole communities being trapped, the residents insist that they would never give up their waterside homes, saying that wading through floods in the winter is a small price to pay for the idyllic summer setting.
The area is home to a number of stars, including Sir Michael Parkinson, Sir Terry Wogan and Paul Daniels, Telegraph informs.
