A pregnant and diabetic San Diego woman who stood behind President Barack Obama at a news conference Monday nearly fell backward before she was caught by the president.
Karmel Allison looked as if she was about to faint while Obama talked about the progress and recent glitches of Healthcare.gov — the website that enables people to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
As Obama listed examples of how the exchange has helped people, Allison, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when she was 9 years old, took a deep breath and began closing her eyes, ABC news informs.
